Engage your readers with story telling

Story telling for marketing?

Today I came across 2 emails in my inbox relating to story telling.

One did not mention story telling per say but did tell a very punchy short story relating to a webinar topic that he wanted me to sign up for. I didn’t even know he is driving me to take that action but by the time I read his story I was totally engaged and ready to listen and guess what, I signed up to his webinar.

Now, I don’t sign up to webinars easily anymore since they could be a waste of time and even when they share great info if I know I have no time to apply any of it in the next few days I choose not to listen at all. So why did I sign up?..because of the story he told me, a personal story that related directly to the topic of his webinar and to something I would like to know more about…

Then later on, I received an email from Neil Patel (I read his blog posts regularly) talking about the power of storytelling. Neil has a lot of cool infographics on his blog that he doesn’t mind sharing. So I will embed the infographics about story telling here and leave you to take your time and look through it.

Why not try telling a story next time you want somebody to sign up to a workshop, event or any services you are providing. I am sure you have lots of stories you could share.

Give it a try and let me know how it went.  —-Leave me a comment——

To your success
