Social media has become a permanent fixture in marketing. If you do not use social media for your business you are not only missing out on great traffic but you are also being penalized by Google on by your website not showing up as high as it could in organic search results because it is not getting any links to and from social media platforms.

Google My Business is very important for local businesses. It uses the interface of Google+ but has many more features including insights and analytics. Additionally, Google+ Local and Maps also now feature detailed reviews
Bottom line is if you have a Google account you can add and verify your local business at Google My Business. This is an easy win that some businesses forget to do.
If you have a Google account (gmail) you can create your own YouTube channel.
